Figleaves.com is the latest UK retailer to stock Eco-friendly or "green" bras, lingerie and loungewear products as reported on their Blogleaves blog.

You've been avidly separating your glass from your aluminium and resolved never to get on a plane again if you can possibly help it - but what about your lingerie? Our new department dedicated to green products launched yesterday (as vogue.co.uk noticed) so explore Greenleaves' organic cotton, hemp, sustainable bamboo and recycled plastic bottles here.

Enamore
Figleaves are also stocking Enamore’s retro, romantic designs which come in organic silk, organic cotton and soya jersey with ribbon trims. Production takes place in Bath to keep those knicker miles down. Green Knickers
Sarah Lucy Smith and Rose Cleary-Southwood set up Green Knickers to make people smile and make people think. The heat print knickers that turn a daisy into bloom when they warm up against your skin are certainly playful. Dead serious are the ecological fabrics employed, which include organic cotton and hemp. Not bad value for £15 - 25.

People Tree
People Tree is a pioneer in terms of fashion footprint. Its eco policy is to promote natural and organic cotton farming, avoid using damaging chemicals, use natural, recycled and biodegradable substances where possible, to recycle where possible and to protect water supplies and forests.

Last week BraSelector caught up with Jenny Ambrose,
boss of Enamore, the fashion label leading “ethical trading” in the UK. So what’s it all about?

Enamore is a designer and manufacturer of fashionable and original ladies’ clothing, lingerie and accessories. There are and exclusive collections comprise natural and organic fibres, such as hemp, cotton, silk and wool, and recycled vintage materials.

Jenny has loved fashion and materials for many years and left fashion college to make her own designs and clothing using hemp and vintage fabrics in her works. After a great deal of hard graft and, at times, “quite miserable” living conditions Enamore was born and - we think you should all take a look.
