This week Bra Selector caught up with the one and only Lauren Colfer, winner of the Brastop Star in a Bra 2009 competition to find out more about what it takes to be crowned the top curvy lingerie model and what it’s like getting involved.

Hi Lauren and welcome to Bra Selector. What made you want to enter?

I wanted to enter the previous year, but was discouraged by my dad. But when the second year came around, I knew I really wanted to give it a go. Luckily my dad was really cool with it all too!

Was modelling something you had previously considered?

There has always been a part of me that wanted to give modelling a go, but I never thought I could do it with my curves. I’ve never been camera shy and modelling always looked like a fun AND glamorous lifestyle, though I have found out that it is definitely hard work… but the most fun hard work!

It’s been just over two weeks since we announced the kick-off of this year’s Star in a Bra competition and we’d liek to remind all DD+ girls that it’s time to apply to enter the competition now!

So Brastop has reported that the competion has around 500 entries do far – which is great, but girls are still uploading photos and you could be one of them. Do you have a curvy friend? Get them involved too!

Why take part?

Star in a Bra offers you the chance to become the face of Curvy Kate, as well as modelling for Brastop. There’s also a free set of lingerie going every month and some lovely goodies from the sponsors.

Entries can be submitted until midnight on the 2 May – that’s just 2 weeks from now! To enter the competition you must be 18 years old or over, with a natural bra size of at least a DD cup (no silicone).

How to enter Star in a Bra

The folks at Brastop have compiled the following checklist

  • You must submit at least five photos, including three full length lingerie and two head shots.
  • Photos cannot be altered in anyway; we all have lumps and bumps, and want to see the real you.
  • If you’re a little confused as to what photos can be entered, visit the official terms and conditions.
