Bank of Scotland International will be raising funds for Jersey’s After Breast Cancer Support Group in its annual lunchtime Bra Dash through St. Helier on Friday 25th May.
The Bra Dash will start at 12.15pm outside Bank of Scotland International’s office on New Street in St. Helier. Runners are requested to either wear a decorated Bra on the day, or turn up in fancy dress, or both!
The Dash will race off down New Street, up King Street and Queen Street, as far Snow Hill. The runners will then turn around and head back down Queen Street, King Street and onto Charing Cross. From there, the Dash will head into Old Street, Union Street and back along the home strait to Bank of Scotland International’s office on New Street.
There will be prizes awarded on the day for the best dressed team (£100), the person with the best decorated bra (£50) and the best fundraiser (£50.)
During the event, light refreshments will be provided by Fitness First and Maids of Honour. Fitness First is also offering free personal health checks to everyone involved on the day.
Tony Wilcox, Managing Director at Bank of Scotland International, says:
“We look forward to welcoming everyone to this years’ Bra Dash event and helping us to make this an event to remember.”
For the second year running, the funds raised during the Bra Dash will be used to support the ongoing work of Jersey’s After Breast Cancer Support Group. Set up in 1999, this local charity aims to promote awareness of breast cancer issues and provides patients and their families with hope, support and friendship at any stage of treatment.
Pippa Simpson, chairperson of the After Breast Cancer Support Group, commented, “We wish the best of luck to all potential Bra Dash runners and would like to thank everyone in advance for their continued support.”
Ends.
