Triumph opens autumn with retro lingerie

Seductive shapes, romantic materials and vintage colours are the key trends as Triumph revives 1950’s lingerie and brings it right up to date with design twists and the latest materials in a collection called “Newstalgia”.

The importance of texture is displayed in extravagant, semi-transparent laces and delicate ribs. Pearls, buttons, bows, ribbon lacing and pretty rouleau and picot trims bring a touch of opulent, old-fashioned charm.

Triumph Amourette Sweet

For example, the Padded décolleté bra and hipster (left) are in Vichy check jacquard and stretch lace in white or pink. In the popular Amourette cut, these styles promise optimum comfort, support and elegance in a wide range of sizes. The bra gives a beautiful neckline and cleavage, and the lace hipster – with no side seams – is particularly comfortable to wear.

Deep, intense petrol blue glows alongside soft vintage shades of pink and brown. Sparkling white and dramatic black are the contrasts.

Underwired bras focus on decorative plunges and straps; briefs look new with high waists and square cut legs. The look is provocative yet elegant, bold yet romantic.

Large bra sizes too
As always, Triumph really spoils the curvy lady, meeting the challenge of offering her elegant, seductive fashion combined with maximum support, perfect fit and optimum comfort, by making subtle design adjustments such as wider straps and strengthening linings in D+ cups. This season there are even more bras in big sizes and cups – all picking up the on-trend nostalgia theme.

At the end of the year, a bright, festive look emerges with shimmering red and black satin. Seductively styled in lace and embroidery with rich patterns, gold-coloured lining and twinkling crystal trims this is Christmas glamour at its best.

We expect to see Triumph’s new collections at Figleaves.com and John lewis.

Enamore ethical and enamore eccentric

Unique: “Peek a Boo”

Last week BraSelector caught up with Jenny Ambrose,
boss of Enamore, the fashion label leading “ethical trading” in the UK. So what’s it all about?

Enamore is a designer and manufacturer of fashionable and original ladies’ clothing, lingerie and accessories. There are and exclusive collections comprise natural and organic fibres, such as hemp, cotton, silk and wool, and recycled vintage materials.

Jenny has loved fashion and materials for many years and left fashion college to make her own designs and clothing using hemp and vintage fabrics in her works. After a great deal of hard graft and, at times, “quite miserable” living conditions Enamore was born and – we think you should all take a look.

Who said all the shops are the same these days? Enamore designs its own lingerie (amongst other clothing) and is more than just another “brand”. You can find its clothes in exclusive boutiques and online at www.enamore.co.uk. Now, time for some questions. Continue reading ‘Enamore ethical and enamore eccentric’

Swashbuckling sloggi size up treasure chests

This summer expect shipshape undies from sloggi – yes, nautical and nice for summer’s favourite fancy dress party theme.

Pieces of eight

Sloggi has plundered the pirate look for some limited edition undies (I wonder where from?), so coveted they won’t even reach the shops….. but the press office has bagged some to give away to our readers.

In smooth and stretchy black material, with jagged edges and a silver skull and crossbones print, there is a sexy plunge bra plus light-as-a-feather hipsters for the girls and some stretch cotton boxers and vests for male swashbucklers. The hipsters even come with a pair of big hoop ear-rings – perfect for cutting a dash when you walk the plank.

If you win one of these sets, you’ll be able to see for yourself why sloggi is so famous for fit, comfort and style and is the best selling branded brief in Europe – and quite possibly the world. Bras are sized 34B; hipsters are size 10; boxers are waist 34; vests are chest 38.

TRIUMPH FASHION CUP 2007

The Triumph Fashion Cup 2007 at the team base of Desafío Español in the Port America`s Cup turns models into mermaids and sailors into catwalk stars.

Triumph’s fashion cup

Exciting sirens raise a storm at the Team Base of Desafío Español as the sensual lingerie was presented by breathtaking top models from the participating sailing nations. These international beauties elegantly danced along the water-catwalk whereas the special selection of Desafío Español crew members showed an amazing performance at their debut on the catwalk. Heavily cheered on by the international press the men hit the runway with style – while their colleagues smoothly sailed to victory on the open water.

Ray Cokes, presenter of the Fashion Cup, proved visibly inspired by his surroundings and got in the spirit- on the water catwalk – and wet – as he jumped into the water.

The photo and TV footage material of the shoot and the Triumph Fashion Cup is now available on www.thenewshub.net and www.triumphfashioncup.com. B-Roll will be available via satellite (please compare to the website).

Triumph is not an official sponsor of the America’s Cup® or Desafio Español.

Triumph International is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of underwear. As well as the main brands Triumph and sloggi, in Europe the company also includes the brands BeeDees, Valisère and HOM. Triumph, with its approx. 42,000 employees, achieves a turnover of CHF 2.4 billion (2006).
