A new type of bra was recently launched by Breeze Comfort and the company claims that they are the most breathable padded bras and sports bras in the market today.
So just how do these bras work?
Conventional bra pads found in padded bras are typically made from man-made materials that prevent the evaporation of perspiration. The result is the accumulation of moisture in the breast cup area, which causes discomfort to the wearer.
The Breeze Comfort bra uses a new technology called
Ventipad designed to provide ultimate breathability. Unlike traditional bra pads, this new invention has perforations throughout the padding that allow air and moisture to circulate around the chest area.
The company says that the moisture wicking fabric used in conventional padded bras alone is not enough to create a truly breathable, high performance garment. They believe so strongly in this new design with ventilation channels that they have patented the Ventipad.
The idea is simple: keeping cool and dry keeps the wearer more comfortable.
Breeze Comfort says that by combining its Ventipad technology with existing breathable and moisture wicking fabrics it has made bras that are much more breathable. These bras are designed for low, medium and high impact sports - but are available in a number of styles from outright sports bras to padded T-shirt bras for everyday comfort.
Breeze Comfort bra review
You've read the spiel, but what did Bra Selector's testers think of the bra?
We tested the
BASIC Push up bra (black) pictured left, size 34B.
Appearance
Although the padded bra looks very functional, it provides a very smooth silhouette that doesn't show through tops making it a perfect T shirt bra.
Unlike most T shirt bras, which let's face it aren't designed for looks, the Breeze Comfort has elegant thin double banded straps - more like a bikini top than a bra but much more comfortable.
The ample padding provides plenty of bosom-boosting power and will no doubt enhance any cleavage. However, we did find that while the bra was a a comfortable fit there was a small gap at the top of the cup because the padding is very thick and quite rigid.
Comfort
The bra is made with smooth, silky but noticeably breathable materials making it very comfortable even when commuting across London or running for a bus.
There is one thing we did notice - the same thick padding that so wonderfully enhances your figure also makes you feel a little cut off from the outside world. This of course has its advantages, particularly in certain social situations or the air conditioned workplace.
Push up effect and support
Well one thing is for sure - the padding enhances your natural curves and makes them look bigger! The padding also pushes your boobs together for enhanced cleavage, although we would wear the bra as a strategic undergarment opting for a more suitable plunge bra for wearing with a dress of low cut top.
The bra provides excellent support for everyday activities and light exercise.
Verdict
A very comfortable figure enhancing T shirt bra for all weather and light exercise. At just £15.47 (padded) - £17.33 (push-up) it's also great value for what you get (A normal Marks and Spencer
T shirt bra costs £16 - £18 and
cheap T shirt bras £5+ for only basic support and comfort) and postage is free for orders over £32. Standard bras are currently available in UK bra sizes 32B to 44E.
Whether you just want to keep cool or live an active life this is a good all round bra with above average comfort. To find out more or buy a bra for yourself visit the UK
