Triumph will launch a new "Tweety by Miss Triumph" range of lingerie for younger bra shoppers for spring / summer 2010. The lovable little yellow canary who was created by the American animator Bob Clampett in 1942 will appear in a capsule collection of six home wear designs, each with a special hang tag, within the young “Miss Triumph” label.
The first “Tweety by Miss Triumph” collection launches to the trade now with delivery in store during spring 2010. Initial reaction from buyers has been so enthusiastic that new designs are already under way for Autumn 2010.
An agreement with brand owner Warner Bros allows Triumph to interpret Tweety in their own way. Heike-Stefanie Bodamer, speaking on behalf of Homewear Brand Management, Triumph Global Western Fit, says,
Tweety is cute, fun and sassy and has a real cult following amongst young celebrities. He is perfect for our market. We have developed the prints ourselves, using placed and allovers, depicting Tweety in a vintage and romantic way on blue or vanilla single cotton jersey. He appears on two T-shirts, bloomer-style shorts and three quarter pants which can all be mixed to match, plus a short nightie and a teddy, each with a special “Tweety by Miss Triumph” hang-tag.
The final “tweet” goes to Peter Bichler, General Manager Warner Bros. Consumer Products Germany and Austria:
In Triumph, a company that stands for high quality and fashionable designs, we have found the ideal licensing partner to present Tweety to a young female target-group.
All those tweets, but no mention of
Twitter. Good old fashioned fun!
