The highly engineered “Delta” underwear is being marketed as “the only way to go for women daring to take the plunge”. The push-up bra’s name doesn’t sound comfortable, but you can take some comfort if the fact that it isn’t named after a large geologocal feature but is endorsed by slushy pop queen Deltra Goodrem of Neighbours fame.
The Delta by Anabella Xtreme Plunge Bra, to be launched by Big W (Austrialian discount store) in coming weeks, follows a trend to make undies that can’t be seen through outer wear. If successful we can be sure to the new push up bra in the UK stores or online bra retailers.
The Delta bra – apart from providing devastating cleavage – is convertible with a lower central bar that allow necklines to take a dip – form a growing segment of lingerie lines that the manufaturer say are perfect for summer dresses and low-cut tops.
Bruno Schiavi, the entrepreneur behind the range endorsed by Delta Goodrem, said:
“It took a long time to get the bra exactly to the point I wanted, without too much coverage at the front but also to give enough support.”
Bra Selector’s verdict is that the bra is definately designed (or engineered if that’s the phrase) for wearing under clothing. That having been said, the Delta bra is following a growing trend towards cleverly engineered bras and briefs – primarily bras made with engineered edges, hidden underwires and concealed padding that sit very flat on the body.
